Critics Choice the newest Brit award went to Adele
Best British Breakthrough Act was won by Mika!

Kelly Rowlands presented the International Male Solo Artists - Kanye West
The fantastic Beth Ditto presented the Best British Male - given to Mark Ronson - seems to be the man of the moment.
The ever popular Kaiser Chiefs performed Ruby.
International Female Artists presented by David Tennant - won by non other than the remarkable Kylie Minogue looking stunning in a little black number and getting a snog from David Tennant into the bargain - only Kylie eh?
Leona Lewis sporting a stunning purple number (made you think of chocolate though!) performed Bleeding Love
Best International Group presented by Denise Van Outen with Andrew Lloyd Webber won by The Foo Fighters who were not there in person to receive their award. Speaking from a recording Dave Grohl said “Best newcomer… Oh, it’s not Best Newcomer? We’ve been around for a long time and we finally got one of these. We’ll see you in the summer.”
James Nesbit presented Best British Female Artist - won by the hugely talented Kate Nash
Best International Album presented by Michelle Ryan and won by The Foo Fighters
Mark Ronson performed God Put A Smile Upon Your Face with Adele, Stop Me featuring Daniel Merriweather, and Valerie featuring the astonishing Amy Winehouse
Gandalf himself (in the guise of Sir Ian McKellan put in an appearance for the Best British Group which was awarded to the Arctic Monkeys for the second year in a row. Stepping up to receive the award looking like country gents the band simply said "we are the most fantastic"
After performing Love Is A Losing Game Amy Winehouse said "Make some noise for my husband - my Blake"
Alan Carr presented Best British Single voted for by the public which was won by Take That - their second accolade of the night.
By now the evening began to deteriorate and The Mastercard British Album Award - presented by Vic Reeves with some interference from a rather gobby Sharon Osbourne - won by tonights Country Gents - The Arctic Monkeys
Sharon was heard to remark rather loudly "bloody hell what have they come as" - but they were so drunk that ITV cut them off and went to Fern Cotton as the Arctic Monkeys waffled into the mike in a drunken stylee...seemed to be enjoying themselves!
In true Ozbourne style Ozzy got a tad premature when introducing a true musical hero - Sir Paul McCartney - but the final choice of presenter thankfully went to Kylie who welcomed our Sir Paul who said simply that "British music is the best" - well yes it is Paul - thanks in no small measure to you - a long overdue award - we salute you.

Hosted by hosted by Sharon & Ozzy - this years awards are set to be a lot of fun - and who knows a bit of controversy might just be thrown in for good measure.
Guest presenters who will be there include RnB siren Kelly Rowland, Britain’s very own Dr Who, David Tennant, Lord of the Rings star and national treasure Ian McKellan. Michelle Ryan is also set to appear as is top indie band front woman Beth Ditto from Gossip. Chris Moyles, Alan Carr, and the inimitable James Nesbitt along with Vic Reeves, Denise Van Outen and Will Young who will also be on hand to add a certain touch to the proceedings.
Take That will also be at this year’s star studded BRIT Awards.
