Vocalist/bassist Jarkko Ahola of Finnish metal group TERÄSBETONI — which represented Finland in this year's Eurovision Song Contest (and placed 22nd [out of a total of 25 contestants] in the event's finals) — has issued the following update: "TERÄSBETONI got back home from Serbia just few days ago. The whole trip was a once-in-a-lifetime experience with all the great people, unique athmosphere and of course the main event: Eurovision Song Contest. 'Missä Miehet Ratsastaa', our contest song (entry), did pretty good. We made it through to the final, but something happened there and we didn't get too many points. But that wasn't the main goal, anyway. We got a great chance to play our music to the whole Europe and hopefully won new warriors to our side. "I want to thank YOU all for your support, love and believing. There are so many new messages on the guestbook that it's easier to thank you all here. Life has been good, no least thanks to you, our fans. THANK YOU! "The next thing to do is to start giggin' around Finland. We'll begin our conquest from Lahti in 6th of June. Hope to see you all on some festival here and hopefully we'll get to do some gigs in Europe." "Myrskyntuoja", the third and latest album from TERÄSBETONI, was recently certified gold in the band's home country for sales in excess of 15,000 copies. The CD was produced by Hiili Hiilesmaa (HIM, APOCALYPTICA, THE 69 EYES), who previously worked with TERÄSBETONI on the group's last LP, the gold-certified (in Finland) "Vaadimme metallia", which came out in 2006.
